Paul Newton is a seasoned advisor, operator, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience leading performance-driven businesses across marketing, analytics, SaaS, and enterprise technology. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Bravery Group, Paul advises agency founders, analytics leaders, and marketing technology executives on strategic alternatives, M&A readiness, and value maximization in highly competitive, innovation-led markets.
Paul’s career spans an extensive range of leadership and executive roles across both venture-backed growth companies and global enterprises. As a technology veteran who has led 40+ acquisitions and 5 business turnarounds, Paul brings an unparalleled depth of understanding of transactions and the subsequent requirements for capturing and maximizing strategic synergies post-acquisition.
Prior to founding Bravery, Paul was the Founder of Barque Labs, who developed machine learning products for fraud detection, university grant management, and a buy-sell optimization application for a produce/commodity business that engaged in 250,000 transactions per year.
Earlier, Paul served as EVP at Spring Global, overseeing a 320-person SaaS and PaaS retail execution platform across Latin America and North America. He also served as COO/CFO of Themis Analytics, VP of Professional Services at webMethods, General Manager (Asia) at Cyrk, and Head of Analytics at Clearview Group. His experience also includes extensive M&A leadership at Platinum Technology and financial leadership roles at IRI and iXL. This breadth of experience enables Paul to bring rare operational fluency to Bravery’s clients.
At Bravery Group, Paul leads engagements across digital marketing, analytics services, and SaaS-based marketing technologies. He supports founders and investors with transaction strategy, value articulation, and process management, all with the insight of someone who has built, scale.
Paul holds a Master’s in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Western Kentucky University. He is based in Greenville, South Carolina.
